Low Brow Luxuries

Designers Show Trailer Park Styles For Fall 2009

Leave it to a celeb power couple to see this coming. When Heidi Klum and Seal renewed their vows recently, they opted for a trailer park theme, complete with a faux mullet for Seal.

Then came the release of Vivienne Westwood’s Fall 2009 campaign, featuring who else but Pamela Anderson. The ads feature Anderson with an all leather wearing love with long hair and a bandanna. To complete the look, the two are hanging out in front of broken down cars.

Marie Claire is also featuring trailer park designs with models in mesh and short shorts, sitting in front of trailers. Maybe it’s an attempt at simple design for recessionary times? I don’t know, but I think for now my closet will stay pleather-less.
