Looking to translate the ever-popular 1995 film into a new medium, skate brand Vans joined with Disney to create a collection of Toy Story shoes.
While rumors about the collaboration have been circulating for a little while, it was only recently that Vans confirmed the upcoming release with a promotional video on its Instagram. Included will be models that honor Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Bo Peep, the Pizza Planet aliens and more. The Toy Story shoes do this by incorporating the colors and patterns from the clothing that each of the characters wore, as well as imagery that likens the designs to them.
On the Buzz Lightyear sneakers for example, the toy's green and white spacesuit is contained on the upper, while the purple accents on it are represented by the soles. Like on Woody's boot in the film, the soles of the Vans and Disney Toy Story sneakers boast the name "ANDY" on the bottom as well.
