The Torque Desk boasts a leg that serves more purpose than simply supporting the surface of the table. It rotates open to reveal a stratified set of large drawers. Utterly dynamic, this feature ties in nicely with the overall modern appearance of the Torque Desk. Interestingly, this leg of drawers doesn't in fact hold any of the weight from the tabletop as its design suggests. In actuality, the workstation is cantilevered.
Designed by London-based Alessandro Isola and Supriya Mankad of I M Lab, the Torque Desk revolves around a cable management system, which allows the drawers to function as they do. Made entirely out of metal, the body of the Torque Desk is full of sharp angles, which is fit for a contemporary office. A malachite letter and pen holder tops the desk.
