Cinematic Lipstick Lines

The Topshop 'Clueless' Look Builds on Iconic Film Themes

A team of UK-based make-up experts have launched the latest Topshop 'Clueless' lipstick line. Just as the title suggests, the design plays up on character Cher Horowitz's valley girl role in the classic 1995 film.

Long adored for its epic one-liners and hilarious Hollywood themes, the Topshop brand has done an excellent job of playing up on the rhetoric surrounding the major motion picture. One of the often repeated phrases from the Clueless set references the lip area. According to Horowitz, "Anything you can do to draw attention to your mouth is good." The Topshop designers have taken this statement literally, and have reworked it through their production of a bright pink Day Glo stick, which is a more feisty look. Artist Hannah Murray has demonstrated the application process via a short how-to tutorial.
