The Toca Train for iOS Puts Players in Charge of a Virtual Locomotive

Driving a high-speed locomotive is a dangerous pastime for a young child, which is why Toca Boca made the Toca Train app for the kids, or kids at heart, wanting to steam-on full speed ahead in a mock train engine.

Developed for the three to seven year range, this tot-friendly game lets players thunder down the tracks in the interactive simulator.

The intuitive nature of the simulator does not give instructions or any real specifics, allowing the child to maneuver the vehicle however they want. While it is all fun and games, it could potentially pose a problem if the child had any vested interested in learning about the way a train is actually driven -- and its need to remain on the tracks while driving.
