Young Tippi Degre Lived a 'Jungle Book' Lifestyle

Tippi Degre is the daughter of French wildlife photographers Alain Degré and Sylvie Robert. Born in Namibia, Africa, she spent her formative years in Kalahari as her parents filmed and photographed the habits of meerkats. But as parents tend to do, they also documented Tippi Degre's childhood. The only difference is that while some children have imaginary friends, she had wildlife friends.

Although she can be likened to a real life Cady Heron from 'Mean Girls,' the now 20-year-old Tippi Degre did not necessarily have to deal with her own plastic demons. Instead, a documentary and photo book about her life focuses mostly on her African experiences with tribes, animals and more. Tippi Degre's mother states, "She was in the mindset of these animals. She believed the animals were her size and her friends. She was using her imagination to live in these different conditions."
