'Time To Know' Uses Individual Computers for Learning

Major advances in technology have not translated into significant changes in the classroom and many students who are technologically engaged outside the classroom find themselves bored in school. That might finally be changing thanks to an Israeli company called Time To Know (T2K).

T2K’s approach recognizes that children develop good computer skills early, so the company's system is based on each child working with an individual computer.

Time To Know recognized that little has changed in teaching since the invention of the printing press; a talking head still stands in front of students who struggle to pay attention and process what the teacher dictates. In a given classroom, students can be found working at different levels and teachers have struggled to accommodate them.

T2K’s management system enables teachers to monitor the progress of each student at his/her level in real-time, without having to wait for the result of a test or quiz to evaluate them. The teacher maintains a constant awareness of each student's abilities in each subject.
