The 'Time' by jehs+laub Rotates Gracefully to Tell Time

The 'Time' by jehs+laub clock features an almost invisible method of showing the time by doing away with traditional ticking arms and pointed hour hands.

The artistic piece floats on a base that is required to be held in place on a wall for operation. From here, the edge of the 'Time' clock rotates, which in turn moves the minute hand. What's produced is a sundial-like effect with a shadow being cast against the wall behind the clock. While it is relatively simple in design and shape, the 'Time' clock has an elegant appearance that calls to mind much more simplistic timepieces from years passed. If you compare the clock to a standard sundial, the differences are quite minimal.
