Tim Hortons Plans to Migrate to Using Sustainable Cutlery in 2023

Tim Hortons recently announces that it will be rolling out wooden and fiber cutlery throughout the new year to work towards the goal of becoming more eco-friendly. In doing so, the Canadian company will also be switching the current plastic lids on the Loaded Bowls to fiber lids.

It continues with a new wrapper for breakfast and lunch sandwiches that is made from 75% less material than the one that is used currently -- the wrapper will replace the wrapped box. Paul Yang, Senior Director of Procurement, Sustainability, and Packaging at the company speaks on the diversion, "Through our sustainability platforms Tims for Good, we’re always looking for ways, big and small, to make thoughtful choices on material and design in order to reduce and eliminate packaging and contribute to more sustainable innovation."
