Giant Forest Cathedrals

Thorncrown Chapel is a Spectacular Sustainable Structure

Thorncrown Chapel is an epic forest facade located within the heart of a dense forest near Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

What is most striking about the towering structure is how it blends so completely into its surrounding environment. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and E. Fay Jones, Thorncrown Chapel was built to take on the appearance of its surroundings using locally sourced timber. It has done this so successfully, in fact, that it was recently awarded the Twenty-Five Year Award by the American Institute of Architects.
