Chic Apocalyptic Fashion

'This is Luxe' Features a Handbag that Transforms into a Gas Mask

With so many movies depicting the apocalypse, it's no wonder that there are some true believers of the world coming to an end very soon, and the 'This is Luxe' collection lets you look chic while offering life-saving mechanisms.

Parsons students Alvaro Soto, John Paul Rangel and Justin Blanc were inspired by the MoMA exhibition 'Safe: Design Takes on Risk' when coming up with the concept for This is Luxe. The collection features three handbags that appear to be just that, but can actually be transformed into gear that is ready to take on the end of the world. One of the handbags turns into a gas mask in case of a gas attack.

While I'm sure fashion wouldn't be a number one concern if the apocalypse were to come, This is Luxe has those die-hard fashionistas covered in all emergencies.
