A wildfire can turn into a catastrophic and environmentally harmful event that at times is too tough to handle. This concept helicopter, Thirst.D, is a preliminary design for an all purpose firefighting chopper that can aggressively handle those situations.
The Thirst.D begins by attacking the fire with standard water, but under specific circumstances it will often just make the decision to burn the fire down (sounds ironic, I know). The helicopter controls the burn by taking out the objects around it that will cause it to spread.
If the Thirst.D can’t immediately solve the problem and it does get too out of control, the helicopter with use a fire protective gel to take out the power lines. It’s quite the nifty looking dude.
