The Surreal World W Magazine Photoshoot Challenges Our Perception

The W Magazine December 2014 editorial titled "The Surreal World" provides chic optical illusions. Photographer Tim Walker produced the series in collaboration with Tilda Swinton, Amanda Harlech and Lynn Wyatt who were each pictured for this captivating series.

Walker's unmatched handle on photography is seen in these images which feature rounded fishbowl imagery and pale shades. Adding to the dramatic elements at play is a collection of frames used to outline the women, each one appearing much like a picture even without the mounts.

Stylist Jacob K. contributed to the otherworldly elements at the center of The Surreal World with ripped ballroom gowns, floor-length dresses and angular fabrics accentuating the shapes of the high profile trio.
