Pop Star Pooch Parodies

Katy Perry's 'California Girls' is Covered by The Pet Collective

The Pet Collective has done an adorable canine cover of the 2010 summer hit California Girls. Luckily, Perry’s original song featured rapper Snoop Dogg prior to his recent conversion to Snoop Lion, so the legendary Snoop could be portrayed by a swagged-out pooch.

Perfectly reconstructing the set of the candy-filled music video, this version is definitely not "ruff," going so far as to even feature Perry’s explosive bra. The hilarious tribute to the pop star definitely has viral potential, already receiving over 70,000 YouTube views since its upload earlier this week.

The California Girls video is just one of the many pet-friendly renditions made by The Pet Collective. Other musical acts covered by the group include these year’s big summer stars Carly Rae Jepsen and British pop sensation One Direction.
