The Marionette Unit Defines Victorian Horror

The upcoming film titled 'The Marionette Unit' by Director Azhur Saleem dwells at the very core of dark Victorian horror. The trailer is similar to the Neverending White Lights video 'The Grace', but much, much creepier.

Set in an alternative Victorian time-line, performers are forced into slavery as marionettes, via (prepare yourself) surgically implanted back plugs. I've never heard of ballet torture before, but 'The Marionette Unit' promises to fuse grace and beauty with horrifying drama.

Implications - The stunning (and frightening) film is set in an alternate Victorian England, where steam-punk technology has developed so rapidly that creativity, art, and individual expression is state-controlled.

I love films like this because they serve as very obvious parables for contemporary life. It's also a very real form of state-fear, and creativity encouragement.
