The Jilly Doll Celebrates Heritage & Builds Confidence Through Play

The Jilly Doll is the first of many toys that Jilly Bing is developing to celebrate Asian heritage and bring realistic representations of Asian Americans to playtime. The Jilly Doll was created in response to founder Elenor Mak finding that many Asian American dolls on the market didn't authentically share the features of Asian children or they had characters that were stereotyped.

The Jilly Doll introduces an Asian American girl who loves baking with her family and snacking on sweet treats. The doll sports an apron-inspired dress, shirt and bowtie, which allow for stylish mixing and matching. What's more, her chef's hat transforms into L'il Tart, a companion that's ready to accompany her on all sorts of imaginative adventures.
