The Friendly Chemical Co. Launches its New Refill Stations

The 'Miniml' line of home and personal care products from Yorkshire-based sustainable chemical company The Friendly Chemical Co. (FCC) has a new refill station concept. The new concept comes from a collaboration with its distribution partner Acopecia and sees new refill stations installed at the Air Ambulance Hanger Superstore in Melton Mowbray and Barnardo's Superstore Sutton Coldfield. The company reasoned that gathering the containers, cleaning them, and reusing them once again would improve the process and create a closed-loop supply chain.

"The bags we supply at the start point are 10% of the weight of the equivalent plastic jerrycan, so that’s an immediate 90% saving in plastic weight. In addition, the bags can be washed and reused multiple times and then upcycled, while the boxes can also be reused or upcycled," said Chris Warren, Fenton Packaging Solutions' sales development director.
