When straining foods from the sink, the drips of water are often an accumulation of unconsumed foodstuffs. Designed by Tae-jin Kim, The Edge works simply by tilting the strainer so the water gathers in the corner of the strainer. The design comes in four components; a handle, the strainer rack -- which is larger than normal designs -- a net, and a gutter to catch the water.
After pulling out the strainer by the handle, users can drain the water off through the bottom as normal, then tilt the strainer at a 45 degree angle where the gutter catches the remaining water that sits together with the foodstuffs, which can then be transferred to the garbage can without any water falling out.
