Coffee Payment Keychains

'STARBUCKS TOUCH The Drip' is a Contactless Payment Solution

'STARBUCKS TOUCH The Drip' is the product of a collaboration between Starbucks Japan and Japanese streetwear brand Beams, which introduces a stylish and convenient new way for people to pay for coffee.

True to its name, The Drip takes the form of a drop-shaped keychain accessory, which can be used with prepaid Starbucks cards and Mobile Cards on smartphones with the coffee chain's tap-and-pay system. In total, there are five colored drops available, each of which represents a specific aspect of coffee culture. For instance, black represents an undiluted brew, while the white drop reminds of milk.

Previously, Starbucks collaborated with Japanese men's apparel brand Uniform Experiment to create the STARBUCKS TOUCH contactless payment phone case. Just recently, Starbucks also released the My Starbucks Barista app, which makes it possible for patrons to place orders using voice commands.
