This Smartphone & Tablet Extension Allows Users to Capture 3D Images

Toronto-based company Matter and Form created Bevel, which is a low-cost smartphone attachment that captures 3D images. This phone accessory gives ordinary devices the ability to capture high-tech holographic images using a laser scanner.

While the the Bevel captures the depth and size of the images, the existing camera provides color and texture. It easily snaps into the headphone jack of any device. Through the use of lasers, the images taken from smartphones reach an immaculately higher resolution and truly embody life-like characteristics. The lasers are safe to use and will not damage or harm the human eye.

The low-cost device will bring consumers the ease of capturing 360-degree images for just under $50. While existing 3D cameras are available for movie and film production, this small device is looking to void the market gap for day-to-day camera users.
