Electric Modded Vintage Cars

A Tesla-Powered Porsche Was Made by David Bernardo and Michael Bream

Car refurbisher, David Bernardo, has collaborated with EV West's Micheal Bream in order to produce a Tesla-powered Porsche. For the design, a 1968 Porsche 912 was fitted with a Tesla electric motor, inverter, rear differential, and throttle pedal. The result is a Tesla-powered Porsche that has 550 horsepower EV and can produce 4,500 pound-feet of torque. However the 912 model was too small to be fitted with the Model S battery, so a smaller 32kWh battery had to be created. The new Tesla-powered Porsche has a range of approximately 140 miles.

The car that was produced was one of one, and will not be mass-produced. However EV west has indicated that it will create a conversion kit, where people could replicate the project. It was stated that the kit would be approximately $50,000.
