The Tern NBD Bike Features an Ultra-Low and Compact Design

Tern debuted its newest urban commuter bicycle, the 'Tern NBD.' This is a miniature bicycle with a low step-through frame that makes it suited to riders of varying heights. The compact frame of the NBD allowed Tern to place an emphasis on cargo capacity, as the lowered rear seat unlocks the ability to place a carrying basket or baby seat atop the wheel. There is an additional cargo slot above the front wheel in front of the handlebars.

In addition to its form factor, the Tern NBD, which stands for "no big deal," the bike has a 400-watt Bosch battery pack and a 65 Nm Bosch motor, resulting in a powerful bike despite its size. The bike also features an adjustable frame, LED lights for night riding, and hydraulic brakes.

The Tern NBD will be available in both a belt drive and chain drive models, with the belt drive retailing for $4,699 USD, and the chain drive priced at $3,899 USD.
