Inspirational Olympic Renderings

The Telenor 2012 Calendar Sports Compelling Illustrations

Creative director Mane Radmanovic headed up the creation of these empowering illustrations for the Telenor 2012 Calendar. These sublime and surreal images were rendered by a team of three illustrators working in tandem. The images gathered inspiration from the upcoming 2012 Olympic Summer games in London. The much anticipated sports event was used as a metaphor for a renewed and powerful human spirit that is often associated with the clean slate of a new year.

Each image is a startling compilation of colors and textures. The slightly surrealist leanings of the dominant aesthetics of the images are reminiscent of the works of Magritte. Each illustration represents an Olympic sport as well as human characteristics each activity inspires in the athlete such as strength, motivation and pride. These skillfully crafted manage to avoid sappy sentiments and appear strong and vivacious.

Serving as ample inspiration throughout 2012, the Telenor 2012 Calendar is as beautiful as it is powerful.
