Etched Samurai Racing Suits

The Tattoo Ykz. by Dainese

Tattoo-inspired design is the next big thing. We have already seen a tattooed Smart Car custom designed by Ed Hardy who also creates tattoo-inspired fashion designs. Even Gucci wanted in on the tattoo action with their new charitable Tattoo Hearts collection.

Dainese, a famous manufacturer of protective gear for motorcyclists and active sports enthusiasts, combines the worlds of auto and fashion in their tattoo-inspired Limited Edition Tattoo Ykz. racing suit from their 2009 collection.

Dainese commissioned Australian artist Luca Ionesco to create the intricate tattoo designs which feature ancient Samurai prints and Maori patterns.

An advanced laser system is used in the process of ‘tattooing’ the design on the leather suit.
