Takahashi Maki and Associates have completed a home in Japan that now stands out from the surrounding architecture. Since the plot of land was quite small and the team did not have much to work with, they designed the building to be much taller than the neighboring buildings.
Also, to ensure that the privacy standards of the owners were met, the team featured slender windows towards the corners of the home that still allow for natural light to come through, however it still allows the residences to stay away from plain view. The home was finished in a white coloring, adding to this minimalist look throughout. The roof is also gabled, making it look that much taller.
