MOTIV Architects created the Swallowfield Barn in British Colombia -- a modern take on the classic design that is submerged in gardens, pastures and orchards.
The new structure closely resembles a traditional barn with a simple design and verticle light timber cladding that contrasts the modern gabled roof. The ground floor features a workshop that acts as both a space for creating and a home for animals. The top floor resembles a classic hayloft, providing staring for the fodder as well as a large living area for relaxation.
