Plumen Works with Batch.works on a Sustainable Lighting Project

In a world where the concern about climate change is growing, it is important to figure out ways to reduce one’s carbon footprint and to make the best with materials that are readily available and that will minimize the waste that is produced through manufacturing – Plumen and Batch.works’ sustainable lighting project is an honest attempt at that.

The two companies enter a collaboration to produce 3D-printed lamp shades that are functional, with a sculptural aesthetic that will elevate the atmosphere of the contemporary home interior. To create the sustainable lighting products, Plumen and Batch.works used plastic waste. In particular, they repurposed plastic from water bottles and other parts from discarded appliances.

Two silhouettes of the sustainable lighting collection were already released back in November, but more are coming in 2020. The starting price point is around $198 USD.
