The Institute for Human Continuity Creates Lottery to Survive 2012

The Institute for Human Continuity is a website developed to help you to survive 2012 (which some predict is when the apocalypse will fall upon us); it is a perfect reminder of why I am not allowed to watch the Discovery Channel when they air shows pertaining to Doomsday, Nostradamus, and the Apocalypse.

The Institute for Human Continuity builds off of the upcoming movie "2012," and is obviously a publicity stunt to help you to survive 2012 (but no doubt has duped more than a few gullible sentients). I don’t count myself among them, but I do, however, count myself among those harboring a secret fear of what the end of the Mayan calendar will bring.

As a safeguard in case the apocalypse does occur, as there really will be no way to survive 2012 (and it happens to fall on the day before my birthday), I have made a pact with my closest friends to go out on December 21, 2012 and go down in a blaze of drunken glory, giving a one-fingered salute to the apocalypse at the same time.
