Many cultures have their own beliefs and superstitions, which the art installation appropriately titled Superstition by Bold Design builds on. It explores these commonly held beliefs in a way that will appeal to the modern person. It helps them in tough times, when hard decisions must be made and people don't have the know-how, strength or desire to make them themselves. Julien Benayoun of Bold Design says, "We feel like people sometimes don’t want to choose—they need to look at signs all around them. We were inspired by the confrontation between real life and famous rituals."
Superstition by Bold Design is comprised of five different objects: a disc of sugar, Y-shaped notebook, quick-burning candle, three-tined chocolate dessert and a wooden ring. The chocolate breaks apart like a wishbone while the wooden ring can be tapped to signify touching wood.
