Gucci Teams Up With Superplastic to Launch SUPERGUCCI NFTs

Italian luxury fashion label Gucci has partnered with Superplastic -- a brand known for its animated celebs -- to launch a new NFT collection dubbed SUPERGUCCI. The new collaboration sees Gucci finally opting to expand into the metaverse and the burgeoning world of NFTs, where it will join its major competitors such as Balenciaga and JW Anderson.

According to the company, SUPERGUCCI is set to arrive in three installments, with the first consisting of ten exclusive NFT pieces. Interestingly, each NFT artwork will be accompanied by a unique ceramic sculpture, several of which were teased by Gucci this week. Based on the early sneak preview, it appears the artworks will leverage Gucci's signature design motifs while implementing elements typical to Superplastic artists, Guggimon and Janky.
