This Super Mario Bros bar has become one of Washington D.C.'s most popular watering holes thanks to its decor and drink menu. The bar is a pop-up celebrating the annual blooming of the cherry blossoms. Two bars are behind the effort: Mockingbird Hill and Southern Efficiency. The former has turned its space into a real-life version of the "Super Mario" world whereas the latter decided to hang cherry blossoms from its ceiling.
The combined effort is called the Cherry Blossom Pub. It appears the Super Mario Bros bar is seeing a majority of the traffic, though, with long lineups and plenty of social media coverage. Once inside, drinkers are treated to a space that looks like it was ripped directly from one of the 8-bit classic's many levels. The drink menu is Mario-themed as well and features cocktails with names like "It's a Me, Amario" and "Princess Is in Another Castle."
