IKEA Rolls Out Deliveries in the Netherlands with the SunRider

IKEA launches its pilot program at the Delft store in the Netherlands that highlights the trike, or better known as the SunRider. The company aims to deliver items using the solar-powered trike that is connected to a branded cargo container right to customers' doorsteps.

The deliveries are only done within a reasonable distance of the store, which can be cycled over to instead of driving. The SunRider can travel up to 62 miles with every charge and has solar panels attached to the cargo section to keep it going as long as the deliveries are made. It also has a payload of an impressive 330 lbs, which ensures that most of the store items can actually be transported by trike.
