Fennofolk by IVANAhelsinki

Paola Ivana Suhonen is the brilliant designer behind these sultry Fennofolk fashions under the IVANAhelsinki brand label. The pieces showcased here are from the Fall 2008/Winter 2009 ready-to-wear collection.

Fennofolk couture is hot in Northern Finland. It is a combination of what Suhonen calls, "Slavic melancholity and pure Scandinavian moods with white arctic summer nights and endless winter sadness."

What a spectacular description!

The IVANAhelsinki company is a family run business and all the stunning photography and movies on the website were created by Suhonen and her sister Pirjo.

Fennofolk fashion is hip and swanky enough to easily become a hot fashion trend, even outside of Northern Finland.
