Illusory Dice Prints

Stukenborg Creates Sensational Ink Compositions

The Brooklyn-based Etsy user Stukenborg creates astonishing prints using a dice motif. One of Stukenborg's prints, called 'Xi Draconis,' is printed on a lightweight green Japanese paper called Kitakata and is glow-in-the-dark.

Stukenborg uses a Vandercook 317 letterpress and 16 dice to create these compositions. The ink is rolled right on each die and then printed on white cover weight paper. Stukenborg's modern designs create somewhat of a trippy optical illusion for the viewer.
