This Charitable Clothing Line Features Elementary Students' Drawings

Design duo Alex Torrey and Jonathan Torrey have started a charitable clothing line that features elementary students' drawings and doodles. The label is called 'Umano' and the goal is to help raise money for art and education.

The Torrey brothers collected students' drawings during their trips to Harlem, Peru, Mexico, Athens and Georgia. At each location, the brothers would drop off bags of art supplies and encourage the students to draw whatever came to mind. After collecting all of the doodles, the brothers then printed them onto a series of t-shirts and tank tops. The brothers try to leave the drawings exactly as they are and they make no effort to straighten lines or alter anything in the design.

For every t-shirt sold, the company donates backpacks filled with art supplies to schools in need. Through the Umano line, the brothers hope that they can supplement art education and encourage children to embrace their creativity.
