Sydney-based designer Ilias Fotopoulos was once a lawyer, who became a textile designer. His current wallpaper collections “Mistreatment†and “On Closer Inspection†inspire touch and observation. His most fascinating design, however, is “Listen and Record,†a story in Braille written by Fotopoulous' friend Juro Oswa.
Ilias Fotopoulos' wallpapers have been featured in various publications such as Belle, Vogue Living, indesign, I.D., Blueprint, Pol Oxygen, WGSN, and Selvedge.
Implications - The wallpaper actually looks quite pretty with all of the colorful dots seen in colors such as red, white and green. The idea of creating a wall that a visually impaired person can marvel at is both heartfelt and inspiring. It is interesting because a person who does not know braille will not have any connection with the wallpaper.
