'Step Into the Void' is a Fear Factory-Worthy Glass Box

Located in the Aiguille du Midi mountain (otherwise known as the Needle of the South,) 'Step into the Void' is a glass box that daringly hovers in the void next to the mountain's peak. Part of the Mont Blac Massif, the Aiguille du Midi is over 11 thousand feet high. Keeping this in mind, this tourist attraction, designed by french architect Pierre-Yves Chays, is not for the faint of heart. However, it's sure to appeal to dare devils, adventure seekers and adrenaline junkies alike; if any of those terms apply to you, the void project is a definite must-see.

The structure consists of five panes of glass (each made up of three sheets,) secured together by a C-shaped structure and steadfastly connected to the mountain behind it -- though this probably won't soothe the fears of those who suffer from acrophobia.

'Step into the Void,' which took three years to complete, is part of a greater renovation initiative for the mountain, which includes a mountaineering museum.
