Color Glass Timepieces

The Stencil Watch by Nendo is Inspired by Drafting Tools

Nendo is a Japanese design studio known for its clever creations and minimalist aesthetic; the draftsman02 Stencil watch certainly fits in with the latter. Even more simple than its predecessor, the draftsman01 Scale watch, the timepiece boasts a basic strap and face that is sleek and modern. Yet what makes the Stencil watch stand out is the particular glass used for the face.

Inspired by drafting tools, the Stencil Watch is made using colored glass that resemble stencils including sky blue, light tan, and frosted clear. What makes it truly special, however, is the etched notches that really bring the aesthetic of the stencils to the watch. Available in two sizes, the Stencil Watch is set to be sold exclusively at Seibu department stores in Japan.
