Foodie Infographic Dishes

These Starck Plates Playfully Illustrate Several Dietaries Ideas

What you will realize while looking at the Starck Plates is that dishes can be so much more than simple holders for your breakfast, lunch and dinner. Commissioned for the Royal Monceau Restaurant Interior in Paris by Phillipe Starck, this crockery collection is decorative and imaginatively encouraging.

Designed by Mr. Dean Brown, the illustrated salvers include Dissected Cow, Pie Chart and Food Chain. The first one is a patterned diagram of the various cuts of beef, the second is a graph that breaks down the proportions of a meal's various constituents, and the last one is a nutritional pyramid that portrays the four food groups. Each one is drawn up in a freehand manner and appears delightfully child-like in quality. The Starck Plates bring playful personality to supper.
