Offbeat Nutcrackers

Star Trek and Margaret Thatcher

I can't even handle how geeky these Star Trek nutcrackers are... but there's something pretty nerdy about nutcrackers to begin with. I'm not sure what's worse, a creepy, wooden toy soldier, or a Star Trek to crack open the Christmas almonds.

Personally, if I had to get one of these contraptions for my home, I'd go all out with something really different, like a glittery bumble bee or something.

To be quite serious, I wouldn't be surprised if nutcrackers get political again this year. What about a Swarovksi encrusted Obama or a Sarah Palin nutcracker? We featured a Hillary Clinton nutcracker last year, and as the gallery shows, there's a Margaret Thatcher, so why not?
