The Minimalist and Sleek 'sPult'

Typically, all-in-one universal remote controls come with too many buttons and lack in the department of style. Designer Yurii Smitana Perfilov tries to overcome these shortcomings with her elegant “sPult” remote control.

The sPult sports a sleek minimal design that strips away all those unnecessary buttons. Only 6 buttons are used in the design: the TV on/off, mute on/off, and four programmable buttons.

To make up for the absence of all these butoons, Perfilov uses an iPod-ish scroll for conveniently changing both channels and audio. There are also a few indicators for active channels, favorite channels.

The result is a minimal stylish universal remote that is surprisingly intuitive.
