The Spring Charger by Park So-Hee Ensures Easy Access to Devices

At first glance, the Spring Charger may look like a a modernized slinky toy with its coiled body. But to some people's disappointment, it won't slink down the stairs in quite the same way. Yet the Spring Charger makes up for that in another way. Its coiled body allows for it to stretch to farther reaches instantly when people need the extra length.

Designed by Park So-Hee, the Spring Charger is a 2013 iF Design award – concept design entry for good reason. Although it boasts a simple tweak, it ends up providing a vast improvement on standard phone chargers. Even though a phone might be plugged in, a person would still like to access it. The Spring Charger allows that without crouching awkwardly and uncomfortably by the nearest outlet available.
