Hot Sauce-Marinated Chicken

Popeye's New Spicy Chicken Item is Marinated in Tabasco Sauce

If you are the kind of person who puts hot sauce on everything, you will be totally down for Popeye's new spicy chicken item. Called Red Stick Chicken, the fried chicken strips are marinated in "Tabasco pepper perfection" according to the Louisiana-themed brand.

The Tabasco sauce and cayenne pepper blend-marinated meat is inspired by the small red sticks the hot sauce company uses to see if the pepper is properly ripe. The chicken tenderloins are breaded too and are best enjoyed with the new Smok'n Pepper Ranch. They also come with Cajun Fries and a buttermilk biscuit.

From March 20, 2015 to April 26, 2015, the spicy chicken item will be available at participating restaurant locations.
