Puma and Tracksmith Pay Tribute to 'Speed City' with New Capsule

Sportwear giant Puma has partnered with indie running brand Tracksmith to launch the 'Speed City Collection,' which serves to pay tribute to the iconic San Jose State running program that was founded and led by coach Bud Winter. The program is not only known for producing countless athletes and setting world standards for running but also for continually fighting for social justice causes.

The limited-edition Speed City Collection revives a range of retro looks that draw inspiration from the running team's archival uniforms. However, it takes these pieces and reimagines them by incorporating modern, high-tech materials and fabrics.

"It's no understatement to say that the Speed City program changed both running and the world. We're proud to celebrate the legacy of these athletes who were at the forefront of both human performance and using their platform to drive social change," said Tracksmith founder and CEO, Matt Taylor.
