Sound On Intuition by Pieter-Jan Pieters Features Intuitive Instruments

The Sound On Intuition project is made for those who have always wanted to play an instrument but have either believed themselves to be tone deaf, lacking rhythm or whatever other musically-challenged excuse is out there. Sound On Intuition is made up of a five intuitive instruments that turn the most basic human movements into music.

Designed by Pieter-Jan Pieters for his graduate project at the Design Academy Eindhoven last year, the Sound On Intuition project essentially shows that people make music on a daily basis. For instance, 'Kick' is a sensor meant to be taped to a shot to translate foot tapping into beats of a digital drum while 'Wob' interprets hand-waving into squeaks and squeals. 'Heart' is the most intuitive of them all, turning heartbeats into drumbeats.
