Reinvented Lamp Designs

Designer Soo Kwon Revisits the Lampshade in Licht

According to Soo Kwon, the Licht lamp "reinterpreted the lamp as sculpture, as the silhouette of light." That’s an admirably poetic way of saying she made a new lamp design. The Licht design is unique, though, and the shadows and silhouettes created by it have a beautiful simplicity.

Soo Kwon is only a graduate student, so we’re sure to see much more from the creator of Licht. We can only hope that all of her future creations are so brilliant.
