Omnidirectional Glass Speakers

$10,000 Sony Sountina

Sony's omnidirectional glass-tube speaker prototype that was revealed in 2007 is now in production with a release date of June 20th in Japan.

However, you need $10,000 to get your hands on the Sony Sountina NSA-PF1 in all its 6-foot tall glory of a blue, amber or purple-lit organic glass tweeter. It features 50Hz to 20kHz frequency response, analog RCA and digital coax and optical TOS inputs that support up to 24bit/96kHz linear PCM (stereo).

Ten grand is a lot of cash for a speaker, but if you can afford it, this is the hottest speaker I have ever seen.
