New 'Somebody That I Used to Know' Remix Gives a Nice Retro Digital Feel

YouTube user bd584 experiments in "music, electronics, robotics and high voltage circuits" and has done a superb job creating a remix for Gotye’s 'Somebody That I Used to Know.'

The song, released in July of 2011, has become one of the artist’s signature songs and has featured in hit TV series like Glee, which was covered by guest star Matt Bomer from White Collar. The computer remix consists of an old school printer, an
xylophone and a couple of disc drives, among other things. I can’t even imagine how much time was put in to programming and timing all the ancient machines, but the final product of the rehashed computer remix is a well executed variation to the slightly overdone popular tune.
