Ant-Inspired Race Cars

The SOLENOPSIS Race Vehicle is Designed with the Body of a Fire Ant

The SOLENOPSIS Race Vehicle was designed by Borka Schwarzer for a fictional and futuristic racing series set in the year 2085. SOLENOPSIS is designed to tackle any sort of terrain with its unique design and tires that instantly transform to tackle both the track and tough terrain.

The SOLENOPSIS Race Vehicle has a body inspired by a fire ant's and powered by a fuel cell. The vehicle has a modular frame that can be expanded or contracted based upon the needs of the driver and the terrain. More and more automotive designers have been creating concepts with tire designs that change shape according to terrain. It is only a matter of time before we see tires that can change their form to some degree while on the road.
