Online Shindig Social Apps

'Shaker Where Things Happen' Brings the Party to Facebook

'Shaker Where Things Happen' is a new Facebook application that seeks to change the way audiences interact in social networks.

By adding a bit of reality to the social game by combining features of Second Life, The Sims and Turntable.fm, the app aims to bring all of these sources together for an upbeat online experience. Picture a virtual hangout where users get together with strangers (similar to a real bar), but online. One can chat in groups or privately with any of the guests, or invite them to interact with your own friends from Facebook. Individuals can even see peoples' photos and 'Likes' randomly displayed on a wall, as well as view a separate area designated for tweets. The Shaker Where Things Happen app even allows you to shake a bit, and buy a drink for that special virtual someone.
